FAQs

Do I need to know how to sew already?

No experience needed! I work with all skill levels.

How much do the classes cost?

Classes are $30 per hour. Most students choose to book a 2-hour session to get the most out of their time and allow for hands-on instruction.

For classes with more than one student attending at the same time, there is an additional $15 per person per hour.

Are these group classes or private lessons?

Most classes are one-on-one, which means you get personalized instruction tailored to your project and skill level. We also offer small group classes for 2-4 people.

How long is each class?

You can book for as long as you like, but I recommend a 2-hour session to allow time to settle in and make real progress on your project.

What can I make?

Anything from a simple apron to a full historical costume — bring your ideas!

What do I need to bring?

Students provide their own sewing machine (if they have one), fabric, patterns, thread, and any other materials needed for their project.

DYB does have 2 sewing machines for student use if needed.
